ISRO technology to be introduced on Xiaomi's mobile; A big shock to Google
New Delhi: Xiaomi has announced a hugely popular smartphone and smart TV brand in India. Now it's going to use ISRO's technology in mobile. This will give a big boost to Make in India.

The Indian Space Research Institute (ISRO) has created the Navic navigation system exclusively for India. The geo positioning system (GPS) will be shown very precisely by this system. The accuracy of this GPS is such that any space within the 1500 km radius of India and the mainland will be shown accurately.

Qualcomm has begun to use this technology on the Snapdragon platform.

Xiaomi said that this technology will be made available to all smartphones as soon as possible. All phones coming in 2020 will have this technology. The company said it was made possible by the efforts of Qualcomm and ISRO. The company said it was important for promoting Make in India.

This is the first time that the smartphone maker is working with ISRO. NavIC has seven satellites. Three of them are in the Indian Ocean and three are in the Geo Synchronous Orbit. This allows them to show a location less than 20 meters away. ISRO's technology is going to shock Google. Most Google maps are used in India.
