Maharashtra will be the world's data capital

50 thousand crore investment, 80 thousand jobs

 Mumbai: The data center sector is expected to invest around Rs 40 to 50 thousand crore in the next three to four years.  It will also provide employment opportunities to about 80,000 people.  Data center projects have created the opportunity for Maharashtra to become the world's data capital.

 About the data center project, CEOs of major IT companies in the state recently met Industry Minister Subhash Desai and discussed various issues.  In the future, the role of data centers in the field of information technology will be very important.  Maharashtra has a nourishing environment for data centers in Mumbai.He also said that the state government would cooperate fully for the growth of the region.
Industries Secretary Venugopal Reddy, Energy Department Secretary Asim Gupta, Sterlin & Wilson Company CEO Prasanna Sarbanle, Sumit Mukhija, Rajesh Tapadia, Manoj Paul, Narendra Sen, Sharad Sanghi, Sujit Deshpande, VPin Shirsath, Surajit Chat were present for the meeting.

 In order to speed up the data center sector, the government was instructed to change the policy to provide land, electricity and other facilities and concessions.  Meanwhile, it is the state government's policy to set up data centers near Mumbai and the coast.  Through this, Desai expressed confidence that Maharashtra would emerge as a global data capital.

 Electricity at affordable rates to industries

 A meeting of secretaries of energy and industry department was convened under the chairmanship of industry minister Subhash Desai to discuss the steps taken by the industry department to provide electricity at affordable rates to industries in the state.  Power supply is being supplied to the industries of Maharashtra at 25 to 35 percent higher than in Gujarat and Karnataka state.  Entrepreneurs demand lowering rates…
